Uncommon Vehicle Donations: The Many Types of Vehicles That Are Donated Each Year
If you’re like most people, when you think about vehicle donation, you think about cars, trucks, SUVs and other kinds of vehicles you typically see on the road every day.
You may be surprised to learn that Goodwill Car Donations accepts many more types of vehicles than just your average everyday vehicle — whether or not they’re in working order.
The truth is, every donation helps. A wide range of vehicles – from motorcycles to campers to motorized wheelchairs – can qualify for vehicle donation. Furthermore, every donation, whether it’s an RV or a sports car, goes toward funding community programs.

Depending on your vehicle’s condition and when it’s received, we’ll put it through auction to generate funds that go toward your community. Goodwill Car Donations supports programs that give disadvantaged individuals crucial job training and skills to help them be productive in the workforce.
Any donation can help, so it doesn’t matter if you’re giving a broken-down truck or a new motorboat — every vehicle makes a difference. We’re happy to get all kinds of vehicles, so let us know what you have.
How the Process Works
Want to know how to donate a vehicle? All you have to do is contact us, either by phone or by filling out our online donation form. Once we know you’re ready to donate, we’ll set up a time to pick up your vehicle — at no cost to you.
Whether it’s a car, truck, boat, or even an airplane, we’ll tow the vehicle and use the proceeds to fund local programs. And a few days after pickup, we’ll mail you a tax receipt.
While you are relieved of the responsibilities of keeping and caring for a vehicle you no longer use, you’re supporting your community and qualifying for tax benefits as a result.
Let’s work together to use car donation to fund improvement in your area.
